Preet Baath made his debut with Kavi Raz's film Kande but unfortunately, the film failed to do well at the box office. Though it couldn't attract footfall to the theatres but it's lead actor Preet Baath surely got noticed for his work. His next Jugni Yaaran Di will release next month and in between this actor also shot for an English Show titled Emergency #1066 for Times Now TV Channel. With this show, Times Now will foray into fictional content, in association with Apollo Hospitals.
Preet Baath will be playing a Doctor (Varun Singh) in the show which is about the miracles doctors do to save lives.
Talking about how he got the part, Baath shares, "The team saw my work profile and approached me. I did a screen test and was selected for the part. Its just a 13 episode series in English. I found it exciting, as it is nothing like what I am doing here in Punjabi films."
Did you do any research for this role?
Not really. The writers of the show have done some brilliant work and I just follow it. But before starting the shoot, I did talk to our family doctor to know better about this profession."
Will you do mainstream Indian TV serials (saas-bahu dramas)?
He says, "When I joined the acting field, I did not make my mind about any particular medium. I never really had the thought that I will only act in films or series, I will act in anything which will appeal to me, be it films or TV.
The show is currently being shown on Times Now, and also their Youtube channel. They will also upload it on their app, which will be on the line of Amazon and Netflix.
Preet will soon be seen in Mitran Nu Shounk Hathyaraan Da and Jugni Yaaran Di.
