Punjabi Singer Sarabjit Cheema Was Once The Background Dancer For Malkit Singh!

By: Gurwinder | December 26, 2018

Amrinder Gill's 2018 release Ashke revolved around Bhangra, and Sarbjit Cheema was the perfect choice for the role of an ex-Bhangra Captain turned businessman, for a better future.

He got to show his Bhangra skills in one of the scenes in the film and we were delighted to see his effortless moves.

Wonder how he gained such perfection in his moves??

Sarbjit Cheema was active in sports and cultural activities while studying in Khalsa College Jalandhar. He represented his college in Youth festivals for nearly five years and even participated in state-level cultural shows.

It was then when he got selected for a song, which went on to become a rage - Tutak tutak tootian.

While Malkit Singh's shimmery jacket caught everyone's attention, the background dancers with a perfect 'Haye Jamalo" move, could also not be missed. In one of the old videos of the song, though not very clear, one can see Sarabjit Cheema dancing with a turle vali pagg and typical Bhangra attire, dancing in the background, beautifying the essence of Malkit Singh's super hit Tutak Tutak, which is a hot favourite of global Punjabis till date.
