Jamraud is written by the famous story-writer Waryam Singh Sandhu. His previous story Chauthi Koot was also made into a film under the same name by Gurwinder Singh and has won global acclaim. Navtej Sandhu will be co-writing the screenplay along with Waryam.

Going by the trend of locking a release date, Sandhu feels it’s a wrong trend, and even he is aiming to release this film on 11 October, 2019. But unlike others, he did not lock the release date immediately after the film’s announcement. He had already completed the first schedule of Jamraud in India and the second schedule had to be shot in Canada the last time he shared the news.

Earlier his short films were screened at Cannes so even for Jamraud, the man had big plans.

Ask him about the absence of a star face in his film and he says, “Concept and Content of Jamraud are going to add star value to the film.” Also Read: Diwali 2021: Here’s How P-Town Celebs Celebrated Festival Of Lights!

While the film's period is set in militancy days but it is not based on militancy. Jamraud is based on a serious subject and will also have the required commercial inputs. Navtej Sandhu has already proved his caliber as a successful short film director and now we hope Jamraud does wonders for him as well as the industry.
