Well, seems like 2018 is a big big year for Punjabi movies. With each passing month there are movies which have different subjects and good content.
Nearly every day, a film is getting announced with an outlook that is different from what we've been seeing over the years. Some projects make it through and the others keep us waiting for an update.
That one thing which is impressing us in the present scenario of movie making is the experimentation.
Yet another movie that got announced a while ago was 'Kande'. This one is directed by the famous director Kavi Raz, who had directed Satinder Sartaaj's debut movie The Black Prince. The starcast of this film is also new. Sources reveal that the movie is a social-drama. It is an emotional movie which would be showing a slice of life.
The lead actor Preet Baath, who is the protagonist is the man who will be shown as being mislead. He will be seen making wrong decisions which will take him and his family down on a dark road. Those around him also land in trouble due to his wrong doings.
By the end he will be seen battling his way out of the struggle with his own will power. The movie promises to show the importance of wise decisions in one’s life. Decisions need to be taken responsibly and how a person is responsible for the good and bad that comes along with it.
Kande is scheduled for release on the 11th of May, the same day Nav Bajwa's Raduaa would hit the cinemas.
Kande is produced by Rakesh Sharma, Amardeep Singh Kooner, Gaurav Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Akash Dhawan and Montu. The star cast of the movie includes Preet Baath, Kamal Virk, Veteran actor Yograj Singh, Sunita Dhir, BN Sharma, Baaz, Jeet Rudka and Joban Singh. Baaz is also the writer of the movie.
The movie was mostly shot in Baddowal ( a village near Ludhiana ), Chandigarh and Manali. It is now complete and in post production phase. The first poster of the movie shows all the star cast of the movie, though it seems to be inspired from the superhit Punjabi film Ardaas’ poster but our expectations from this film are definitely high, as the director’s earlier project has been a massive hit among the audience.
