New Punjabi Film Titled 'Rubb Rakha' Announced, Surjit Khan To Lead!
A new Punjabi film'Rubb Rakha' has been announced nearly 4 hours ago, though there wasn't even the tiniest buzz about it, but the makers decided to even seal the release date.
The freshly announced 'Rubb Rakha' is due for release on 25 May 2018. So, this one will fill in the gap between Harjeeta and Carry On Jatta 2, which will be releasing on 18th May and 1rst June, respectively.
Rubb Rakha is a project by Minar Malhotra, the same guy who directed the god forsaken robinhood drama Dulla Bhatti. This one is being made under the banner of Alamgir Entertainment.
The lead actor of the movie is Punjabi singer Surjit Khan and Pooja Thakur is the lead female face. Other characters in the movie are played by Dasounda, Malkit Rauni, Gurpreet Bhangu, Harman Auklakh, Amarjit S Dhindsa and Kultar Gill. This project is shot primarily in Punjab and Canada.
The producers of the movie are Avtar Gill and Darshan Sharma and it's music is given by Davinder Kainth and Dr Shree .
Though the first look of the movie, which is just a poster, doesn’t reveal anything other than an aeroplane and a briefcase which signifies the myth about people's presumption that life in a foreign country is easy. On the contrary, it is the other way round. This first look of the film is pretty amateurish but we absolutely don’t know what the movie has in store for us.
Minar Malholtra has already directed two super flop movies in the last few years. One was the recent torture 'Dulla Bhatti' which starred Binnu Dhillon and Aman Hundal in lead roles, while the other was Lovely te Lovely, which starred Gurjit Singh, Pooja Thakur and Hardeep Gill. Both the movies tanked miserably at the box office and people prayed that Punjabi movie makers get rid of such disastrous content asap!
We hope that this time the director has fastened his belt, learnt from his mistakes and has made a better movie for the audience.
Rubb Rakha will mark the acting debut of Punjabi singer Surjit Khan. Though a little unexpected, but we do look forward to see how this artist acts, I mean..we don't really hold any expectations at the moment, but ki pta..shayad vdhiya actor hovey.
The actress Pooja Thakur has already done 'Lovely Te Lovely' with the same director, which was also her debut Punjabi project. Also, the actress has done a Bollywood project with Manish Paul, named Ranbanka, which had the Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan too.
Let’s see what this team has in store for the audience this time.
