Newly appointed Chairman of Punjab Arts Council, Satinder Satti, celebrated Lohri with the less fortunate ones at Prabh Aasra, Kurali.
Prabh Aasra provides shelter to the needy who are medically unfit, abandoned or homeless. It is run by a private trust and houses a large number of inmates.
The event framework was prepared by Ms. Satti and Punjabi singers Paramvir and Bai Amarjit were invited as special guests to participate in the event. Besides the aforementioned, President of Punjabi Sahitya Academy was present at the function too.
To add more color to the celebrations, girls from Guru Gobind Singh College, Jhar Sahib, performed Gidda for the attendees, whereas, famous Bhangra instructor, Ajit Singh's team presented Malwai Gidda performance along with Punjabi folk songs.
The event turned as a source of fun, relief and entertainment for the inmates of Prabh Aasra Trust Program. Those present thanked the organisers of the event along with the main person, Ms. Satinder Satti.
