Thanks To Satti’s Promptness FNZFTA Gets It’s First Success For Punjabi Cinema!
Members of the Federation of North Zone Film & TV Associations (FNZFTA) met Satinder Satti, who is the new chairperson of Punjab Arts Council, to discuss a long standing matter with her and guess what, she got an overnight approval from the CM! (Wow..whatta prompt response!)
On the 20th of December a delegation of the Federation met the Chairperson and all the demands were discussed at length and later they were submitted in writing to be forwarded to the Chief Minister.
The demands included a notification by the Government to the multiplexes to make it mandatory to screen a Punjabi film at least one show per day at prime time. There are other demands too which will benefit the Punjabi film industry and the state of Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, following a meeting with Satinder Satti on Friday, decided to make one show of Punjabi film mandatory at multiplexes across Punjab and Chandigarh.
A notification in this regard, said Satti, will hopefully be issued by the state government before the year ends.
