Bali Is First Ever Punjabi Origin Model To Feature On Canadian Glow Magazine’s Cover!
Punjabi origin girls are making a lot of buzz in the global market thanks to their unique looks and strong personality.
Canadian born Punjaban, Bali Kaur Bassi, has made a special place for her in the modelling world by getting featured in the cover page of Glow Magazine.
That’s because she’s the first ever Punjabi Canadian model to feature on the cover of this Canadian beauty magazine named ‘Glow’.
Apart from being on the cover of the magazine’s April 2017 issue which was recently released, Bali also has a page devoted to her. She had, in 2016, done a couple shoot with Hollywood actor Dev Patel. What makes this issue even more special is the fact that it is a ‘diversity issue’.
This beautiful model is also a human rights activist and globetrotter. She represents the modelling agency Sutherland Models. Bali is pretty new to modelling but has already modeled for big names such as Joe Fresh, Toronto Tourism and Sears, to name a few.
Bali was born and raised in Canada but her parents hail from Kalewal village in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
“It means so much to me to be part of the special diversity issue of Glow Magazine.”
Still in shock from my first cover! And not just for any issue but, the diversity issue ☺I can't stress how important representation is. After seeing models like @bhumika_arora04 and @poojamor grace international runways and magazines, I was inspired to live out my own dreams. Growing up I was insecure about my darker complexion, but now I wear it with pride 💁🏽 Thank you @sutherlandmodel for so many amazing opportunities and everyone at @glowmag. #glowmag #cover #punjabi #browngirlpride #model #sutherlandgirl #thenewfaceofbeauty Photographer: @rileyjstewart MUA: @susana_hong Stylist: @corey_ng Hair: @kirstenklontz Nails: @naomi_misu
“The issue tells the stories of women with different backgrounds. With the current political climate, it is important that we unite and celebrate our differences”, said Bali in an email to Times of India.
